My thoughts: Well then here's to hoping that The Phantom Tollbooth will get a DVD release one day. That's the only movie I own that's not on DVD. The last movie I owned on VHS that I replaced with its DVD counterpart was The Wizard.

I still hope blank VHS tapes will still be manufactured though. I'm still a ways from getting a DVD recorder. Not only that, but either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD could still overpower DVDs completely in a few years.

I'll admit. Even though I'll take DVD over VHS, I still like that old school feel when I pop in a VHS tape into my VCR. I own some retaill VHS tapes and I doubt they'll ever make it to DVD. I'm actually okay with that.

People in the early 90's were totally "Man, VHS sucks. I hate these things. The person who made them is a ****ing idiot for using tape. I mean, sure I can watch my movies, but the 30 seconds to rewind is a ton of time I can be spent walking to the fridge to grab some food."

Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet is STILL yet to have arrived on DVD, which is mindboggling. Of all movies not to be on DVD yet, I would never guess this to be one.

I've been wanting it for so long, and there's a huge movement of fans out there on the internet who are all praying for a DVD release.

Apparently, it has finally come... sometime in 2007.

It was all we had though, basically.

I have this rare VHS tape that looked like it was going to get stuck in the VCR when I kept trying to eject it. Thankfully, it's still in one piece to this day.

I love VHS.
I have fond memories of watching a taped-off-TV version of The Brave Little Toaster tons and tons of time when I was little.

Until I can handily record things with a DVD, without needing a special type of DVD player or DVD, then I stand bitter towards technology.

The Brave Little Toaster is quite possibly one of the greatest kids movies ever. Actually, its probably THE greatest.
