Mercedes-Benz World Racing

Ok i Know its only some screen shots but i really do not know anything more on the game at this point. If any one has any thing on it plz post it.

Graphically it looks ok, I guess.
But what is that line across the top of the mountain (with a strangely shaped face under it) on the third shot. (see attachment for the line and the face.)

And those are some nice looking 2D sprites on the 5th shot.

This looks like early development shots, I expect more from the X-Box. Thats if it can live up to its hype anyway. Is that a bias comment, I dont think so, the X-Box is supposed to be able to do better, thats why I think these are early development shots.

Ah ha, so it is, its just the way the mountain above it changes colour and texture, it just didn't look right.

Sorry if I seem to be putting the X-Box down in any way, but I am strongly considering it as my second console but being as critical and analitical in my decision as I possibly can.

So anyway, lets hope they do something about those nice 2D bushes.

2d bushes piss me off. Minor thing I know, but they look like paper cutouts.

Same with nething else 2d in a 3d game, in that context i mean

Well, it could be either one. Doesn't really matter which one it is.

And... those bushes sort of look like they were 'placed' there. Because as you can see the car models are highly detailed, and the background is pretty good. The developers may just have 'placed' those bushes in there for time sake to release some screen shots. I'll look for an official press releases when I get a chance.

The game looks good..except for that line that just looks like a pencil mark on the mountain.

You guys noticed alot ...I didn't see the line or the brushes but other than that you gotta admit the game does look pretty good.

Well... I will admit the cars look good, but not as good as the cars on Gran Turismo 3.

The screens of the mountain valley and all look nice, but still they are a little bland IMO. No real attention to detail, other than shadows and a few buildings.

The lightgouse looks ok, but the sky looks... I dunno how to say it, it looks flat, like a flat piece of paper hovering over the area. It is due to these reasons that I believe these are early development shots and that textures and the like have yet to be added.

The 2D bushes I believe were probably added as templates for where the good looking ones will be and to add some scenery to the screenshots, because lets face it, without them the screens would look... naked :eek:
