Holy crap guys! I just had the best idea!

Okay, so we're all aware we don't have many users. I think we've been gonig about attracting new ones the wrong way.

I have a proposition here. We make a series of enticing posters with our website address clearly printed on them and then all of us go and put them up in our towns and surrounding towns/cities.

Like for instance, I could hit Vancouver and all of you guys would have to get major cities you live by and so on.

First step is making up some great poster ideas. Then we should make whatever site changes we need to that gear our site towards this new networking venture and encourage people to stay.

If we work together, we can make this happen.

Well, I'm sure something Dyne could do in Photoshop would be cool, but we would also have to print them off in fairly mass quantities - so it couldn't be too colorful.

I remember when I worked at one of gekko's sites we had the idea of going to news stands and sticking flyers or stickers advertising the site in various game mags.

We need to have mysterious slogans that don't reveal in any way exactly what Gametavern is. Then people will want to know.

Possible slogans:

The Spice Must Flow.

Join the Revolution. <---also alludes to Nintendo for a nice bonus.

Come and find us.

We're waiting for you.

Let's keep this our little secret.

Yes. (in giant bold letters)

I'm sure we could come up with more. If we can make them somewhat visually enticing and use several different slogans, I'm sure we can attract some people to come here.

To be honest I don't think GT is worth it. It's boring here. We don't discuss any games. Half of the general threads are loaded with tensions between members.

That's a fabulous idea! I'll even work on GT ads in various languages. I've posted it on myspace for all my friends to go to that don't want to die a horribly gruesome and hideous death.
