New Passtimes?
So, has anyone else discovered a new activity/passtime? I have recently decided to go dancing regularly. I went swing dancing this past weekend and I've been asked to go again next weekend. I am going to get some lessons before the band goes on.
That is, assuming I'm actually going. I could also go play poker.
Or, option #3 is to go out to a bar with some people from my church.
My final question is: why does everyone have to put all the fun stuff in one night?
Spread it out so that I'm not sitting home alone on a saturday night!

It's another night in hell, Another child won't live to tell
Can you imagine what it's like to starve to death
And as we sit free and well, Another soldier has to yell
Tell my wife and children I love them in his last breath
C'mon now amen, amen, amen

Re: New Passtimes?
I'm in the midst of watching through three TV series that I bought on DVD. The Simpsons, Smallville, and Seinfeld. I'm also renting movie after movie via Netflix. I tried their free two week trial and now I'm hooked.

Me neither.
Although I was sporadically thinking about taking some honeybee classes. On the way to my girlfriend's there's a hive house and they were offering free lectures. I thought that'd be a neat thing to put on a resume.

Re: New Passtimes?
well, the time that i am not working i'm usually chilling with some buds of mine at the beach or at their place drinking and playing cards (poker usually), other than that i don't do much. i work 5-6 days a week, so i don't have that much time to spend, so it turns out perfect for me

Re: New Passtimes?
Reading again, after about 3 years of book silence.
I also realized humor is a hobby.

Re: New Passtimes?
I dont know about "new"...but my passtimes tend to be:
-Writing various things, nomatter how pointless.
-Excersizing/working out
-Drinking beer with friends
-Cooking
Cooking is the only new thing there that I discovered I love doing. So I guess its really the only thing that deserves to be on that list.

My theory is that its because people have jobs and stuff, so they try to cram all the stuff they couldnt do all week, into one day. To sort of get it out of their system.
Because I dont have school, or a job, so I have 7 nights a week to "party" yet I only party maybe 3 or 4 nights a week. And I dont cram 5 things into a night, because I know I'll have time to do it the next night.

Re: New Passtimes?
I work 7 days a week (though this is my alst week at work) so I don't have time to do a lot of things that I want...
After my tenure ends this week, I hope to get some time off to go down to the beach more often

Re: New Passtimes?
well, for this generation, i'd have to say video games, but overall, i'd say football, considering the superbowl is the most watched sports program/any program ever in the world.
