Default Think your good with computers? My newest problem...

Okay so all of a sudden my computer seems to like to not reboot, or not reboot on the first try, instead giving me a message when it finally does load windows that it has recovered from a serious error. Sometimes it will just randomly restart like this. I have been able to get a lot of letters and numbers on this issue, which I will now share with you. Its apparently a stop error? Anyways, attached are the screen I get when windows boots after this error, and also the log of the error in the event viewer.

Also, I managed to get this information on a blue screen:

Stop: 0x0000008E (0xC000001D, 0xBF80B23D, 0xB7A60AEC, 0x00000000)

Win32k.sys-Address BF80B23D base at BF800000.

Oh and I also ran a memory test, my memory is fine.

If anyone has any clue as to what any of this means, or could refer me to some website with anyone that would be more knowledgable, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

you might think about downloading a Ram test program to test the ram you have for errors.

lotta times when the computer randomly reboots often it can be a ram error. that and when i search for that first group of code on google, a microsoft site says it describes RAM issues.

so if you run the test, and you get errors, you could take out 1 stick of ram and run it again with the other(s) and try repeat, try and find the ram thats giving the errors, if it runs through the test for a while with no errors, then its something else.

Those errors are usually errors in your registry. Either the values have lost a certain element that it needs or they are invalid and it is causing a certain program to become unstable.

www.pctools.com - Download Registry mechanic, and scan your registry for errors.

I've received plenty of errors in relation to what you got and registry mechanic cleaned up my registry, didn't have a problem with it.

And sony, that is a good idea I will probably try that. Ive also posted the problem on another technical computer forum, and we will see what they have to say about it. I'll keep you guys posted.

Edit: Well Registry Mechanic found over 400 errors, a lot of which It wouldnt let me repair with the trial version. I repaired what I could, so hopefully that helped.
