A message in a bottle, huh?

That's something I think I'd like to do.

Funny story and true........ I once wrote on a paper 'If you are reading this you have been blessed by the heavens.' Put it in a bottle and threw it into NY harbor.

wonder their that is now...

*imagining* And now on the 6 o clock news, a man finds a bottled message stating 'If you are reading this you have been blessed by the heavens,' not long after he had won the NY state lottery!*imagining*

oh the possibilties.

Yeah, Kevin Costner also had a message in a bottle in his 1999 film. His story was a little more romantic. You're screenplay is great and the characters have depth. The problem is your plot. People just don't want to hear about some 41 year-old message. Where's the action in that? Add some guns and maybe a one night stand and then we'll talk.
