Daylight Savings Time
Ok, so DST just ended here which means that we set our clocks back an hour. How do I adjust the time here on GT? I thought it automatically did it, but the time is wrong.

It's another night in hell, Another child won't live to tell
Can you imagine what it's like to starve to death
And as we sit free and well, Another soldier has to yell
Tell my wife and children I love them in his last breath
C'mon now amen, amen, amen

Re: Daylight Savings Time
I think you have to go into User CP > Options, then on the time slider thing near the bottom, just pick whatever one is above yours.
IE. -8 hours, change it to - 9 hours.
Thats what I did anyways when I noticed it didnt change.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
It should be automatic? It reads your computer's clock time when you post. I don't think there would be a database table for all times; that would be much too large and hard to change all at once.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
The mnemonic "spring forward, fall back", tells us how to reset clocks when the time changes.
Did you do anything special to celebrate this holiday?
I had an Oreo milkshake at my local Jack-in-the-Box.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
well, after I posted this thread I went back to my homework for a while. Since I came back the time is now 2 hours later than its supposed to be.
So, it seems that it automatically changed it but it went the wrong way.
When I posted the thread it was 1:45 am my time but GT said it was 2:45. Now, it is 2:30 my time but GT says 4:30.
Maybe I should just go in and set it myself.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
Start > Control Panel > Date and Time > Internet Time > Automatically Synchronize With an Internet Time Server
You'll never have to worry about time again.

Re: Daylight Savings Time
I went into user CP and set it for central time (my time zone) and it fixed the problem. What would be the benefit of having my internet time synchronized? (i'm not being a smart alec, I just don't know...)

Re: Daylight Savings Time
For some reason the computers at work set back 1 hour, but the phones went back 2 hours (the time on phones are adjusted somewhere else, can't manually change each phone from ecah cubicle).
Confused a few people but meh

Re: Daylight Savings Time
It just depends on when the host resets the server times. Sometimes they are lazy bastards.
