America would be the same if religion was in government. Which it no doubt soon will be.

Because then we'd be killing millions of innocent people who have done nothing but be born in an unfortunate country. That's no different for slamming a plane into a skyscraper...
Wait, yeah it is. Its worse.
Unless you were being sarcastic... (I mean, my point would be the same, but would not have meant to be made; at least to you).

Isnt this what our government wants now? Hell, Gays and Lesbians are worthless to this country according to a majority of Republicans and quite a few asshole democrats who think G/L's are horrible people.
Only a matter of time...

So committing a mass hate crime is the best possible plan to you guys eh?
The second coming of the holocaust is obviously the solution to our problems. Kill the brown people, and peace will follow. BRILLIANT!

Now they never said anything about the skin colour, just bomb the area. Anyone who gets in the way is an unforeseen tragedy.

A house divided against itself cannot stand. With any luck, these poor souls will be reincarnated as Americans.

Re: And you thought America was a tough place to live in
That is alot of posts.
And nuking them would be cool, just as long as they build some type of force field to not let the radiation go past the middle east, hahaha.

Except that it would have been forseen... You can't nuke somplace and not forsee a "tragedy" (in quotes because the people who would nuke the place would obviously not think of it as a tragedy).
Let's all imagine that some faction in the US begins terrorizing various countries... Somebody (let's say France, to inject some humor) gets ticked off and nukes the entire bloody country just to get rid of that faction.
Of course all the Americans (and I would be surprised if a few Canadians and Mexicans) would die. Or at least 99%. A lot of us. Now wouldn't that just be a bust? We'd all be dead because of a group of people who didn't like everyone else...

Re: And you thought America was a tough place to live in
Nuking the whole area wouldn't solve anything, it would probably just make it a lot worse. You can't just "kill em all" as that would be nearly impossible, and the millions of survivors would then have a very legitimate reason to be pissed and jihad everything. In my opinion, the only way to avoid the coming holy/culture war that is coming is cultural (not necessarily religious) conversion. Thats the main reason why I support the war in Iraq.
I also find it kind of funny that (in the grand scheme of things) this news would bring on the number of genocidal posts in this thread. Considering the multitude of other atrocities committed in the area, this news is a piss in the ocean.
And as for the posts about how America is going in this direction when it comes to Gays and Lesbians... lets all get a grip, shall we? While I am certainly not in support of a gay marriage ban, the fact that the rights of homosexuals to marry is even being discussed is a sign that progress is being made. Almost no areas of the nation allow gays to marry as it is, and this controversy is a sign that the rights for gays to be married is gaining strength, not losing it.

Re: And you thought America was a tough place to live in

I'm sure the CIA can make it look like some radical did it.
