Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
Ok, coming back from California, made me remember the good times kicking ass at this game was (which I did, I thank you). So, I just decided to make a thread about this game, but its more like a general discussion thread rather than info on it...
So, the question is, who is your best character, and are you good?
As for me, I use Sheik, and I consider myself very good, you know, not to brag... but I'm sure it doesnt seem that way eh? Honestly, I have not lost a match in a long time with Sheik; sure I've lost when I'm someone else like Mario or some other character, but with Sheik, it doesnt happen very often. The downside right now, is that I dont have anyone else to play with, just my little brother. He learned under me, so he's good too, but he still cant beat his master. When I went to CA, I faced my best friend, and his brother, both very good matches, especially with my best friend, since he also used Sheik. Hmm... I'm just rambling now.
So, as the question stated above, are you good?

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
Roy is my best character. I work well with him and his moves are great. I'm not very cocky, but I think I'm really good at the game :]

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
In one word? Jigglypuff.
Jigglypuff is just the ownage. I just dance back and forth through the people I fight with the punch and when they get softened up a bit I finish people off with the sleeping move and bam. I know most people can get it off ~80% of the time, but it's just an art now. I haven't missed in ages.
That's just one on one. Group battles are a whole different game, but I'm always for the good one on one.
God I want Smash Bros: DS
*Edit: Yeah I'm cocky. But with a game like Smash Bros. it's hard not to be.*

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
i'm a Samus freak. Been playing the past few days with friends and i've had a few wins but she is the character i know the best. I'm not gret at the game but i can hold my ground.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I'm a Luigi man. My tactics involve a lot of jumping which makes Luigi the best choice for me.
I'm fairly good at the game. Not amazing.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I jump around from Kirby, Yoshi, and Samus with a few other characters thrown in for good measure. Samus used to be my only main character, but then I started getting attracted to Kirby's jumping ability and Kirby's ability to eat other characters. Same thing with Yoshi. Nothing more fun then turning others into eggs.
As far as my skill, I'm decent at the game and I win about 50% of the time when I play with one of the three mentioned above. However, my tactics still on the border of button-mashing.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I'm not too great, I need more practice. My character would probably have to be Ganondorf. I used DK for awhile as well.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I use Marth because I'm a Fire Emblem Whore.
I won second at Necrowombicon, and first place went to my friend Andrew. Of course, we were training a lot along with Dylflon. I also did pretty well in the PAX tournament but I got emancipated by a really good japanese shiek player.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
Mine would be Roy, Link, or Gannondorf.
It involves stupid charging tactics and lots of random jumping.
I suck at the game.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
Aside from Sheik, I can use a variety of characters, around the line of half the cast...
Sheik, Mario, Dr. Mario, Peach, Link, Young Link, Ganondorf, Falco, Fox, Ice Climbers, Mewtwo, Ness, Jigglypuff, Pichu, Marth, Samus, Kirby, and Capt. Falcon...
I think thats all of them...

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I use Marth, and I kick ass with him. I'm better at this game than anyone I know.
However, the downside is that Marth is like the only person I'm good with. The reason is that every time I play, I only use him. So I have a god-like Marth, and mediocre everything else.
Back on the N64 version I played with Pikachu and Ness.

Re: Super Smash Bros Melee (revisted)
I was good with Link, Mario, and a few others, but my main man was Game and Watch. Seirously, if you took the time to master him, he could completley own everyone. His moves were just so powerful, especially that fire move and the parachute one.
