Interesting Rumors in EGM.

Reading through the new EGM and found some things interesting in the rumors section..... they are only rumors tho so treat them as such.

- One being what i heard before on Xbox 360. Rumor being it will feature a button to take you to xbox live instantly, even during the middle of a movie or game.

This could be what the thing at the top of the controller is that i was hoping was a track ball.

- EGM states that they heard as soon as several big time game makers actually saw the capibilities of the PS3, they decided to move thier Xbox 360 projects to PS3 instead.

of course again, just a rumor, but IF it was true, then it shows Sony has something big over xbox, not just a slightly more powerful console, there would have to be something more.

Im starting to get pumped and primed for E3. XBox 360, Sony's killer threesome of PS2, PSP and PS3...the 'you say you want a' Revolution.

indeed, E3 just cant come soon enough. Always the most interesting times at e3 are when they show new hardware. i get bored with e3 when its software only.

I think we all established that PS3 and Revolution is "speculated" to have more juice then X360...

EA said it, couple of articles in GI and EGM said it, Sony fanboys said it, Ninboys said it.

It's all over that the X360 is going to the weakest of the three..... as was PS2 when it released first.

I smell bull****. I'm not saying that the PS3 isn't more powerful, I'm just saying that companies will still develop for XBox 360. Nobody stopped developing for PS2 when they realized XBox and GameCube were more powerful. XBox 360 will release first, and will therefore sell quite well, and so many companies are going to be making games.

EDIT: why do we have so much censoring here?

some companies however DID decide to move thier games they were developing for PS2 over to Xbox, then perhaps port it or do somethign differnet for ps2. the rumor didnt state they stop making x360 games. Just that some certain big developers found thier games would work much better on PS3.

it could very well be BS. Just showin what the rumor is.

its my opinion tho, that if this was happening, its not just a little power gain we're talkin about its either a HUGE power gain or something else that ps3 is offering them.

I don't see the PS3 having a huger power increase over XBox 360, possible but not likely. I think the graphics have gotten so good that you will have similar graphics across all 3 consoles even if one is more powerful than the other. Maybe it is something other than just power that the PS3 has over the XBox that possibly is causing developers to switch.

That thing that looks like a track ball could be just that, I was thinking the next XBox live could be somewhat like web surfing and you use the trackball to navigate like you would with a mouse. Only say this because I think a trackball would be hard to use for in game functions especially if it is located in the middle of the controller like some of the pics show.

well...Sony, Toshiba and IBM have been working on the Cell technology for a very very very long time, and powered with a custom made ahead-of-its-time graphics card could combine for a beast of a system.

well in thier defence, i dont think they ever said it could do toy story graphics in game.

*pops in toy story 2 and presses play* see? PS2 + toy story graphics. Now dont you all feel silly for doubting?

Perhaps its just me, but after seeing some vids from both x360 and ps3..... EGM's rumor there starts making a little more sense.
