Hello from school!

Arg.. the only way to get to GameTavern is to go visit at school.. when I'm not suppose to.. as BLueFire told some of you, I've been grounded from the computer at home for opening a e-mail that had porn in it.

Here's the full story: I was checking my e-mail, opened a mail that had this porn picture in it. I was about to block the address when my dad came from downstairs. I panicked, knowing that he would yell at me, I tried to close the window, but I accidently clicked on the picture, which openened it in a picture viewer program.

So there's my dad, looking over my back, when this picture pops up. Grounded - 1 week, no computer.

So not only am I pissed that he didn't believe me, but that I got grounded because of me being stupid.

I'll be here on Saturday, but during the week, I can only be on from like 10am to 10:45am (length of Word Processing class).

Damn, I wish Hotmail wasn't firewalled from school...

Honestly, you should have just hit Ctrl and Alt and kept pressing Delete so your computer reset. Then your Dad would'nt have seen. You wanna be carefull, if you're caught posting at school you will be banned there too.

I never open any E-mails that have porn or anything in them... if something is in my junk folder that I don't recognize (like the daily show newsletters, which get delivered there), I don't bother... if there is something in my inbox about "YOU WIN!" or something, the only time I would click on it is if I remember entering some kind of contest and the address looked familiar

And I get way too much junk mail...

I bet shooter meant to open the picture viewer though... he clicks it and the computer opens it reaaal slow and THAT'S when he hears his dad and he's like "GRAAAR" and he can't close it in time...

First off, if you use Hotmail, the links are in front of you, and you can delete emails without ever looking at them. Unlike email programs, where you gotta click on it to delete it. So it's your fault.

Second, why are you wasting our tax dollars surfing video game sites at school?

Third, Hotmail is like spam central. Get a POP account from your ISP, and use that. Makes life much easier. Also, keep track of those emails that come to you. If it comes from the same address twice, click the unsubscribe link. If it only comes once, don't, because they'll verify the addy that way. Setting up filters helps too.

Also, sucks to be you. Windows sucks, and IE is another reason. If pop-up porn comes, you're screwed. On Macs just hit command+Q and all the windows close, plus the program. Or command+H to hide the program until your dad leaves, cause we all know you wanted to see the pictures

there's nothing wrong with porn, u just have to hide it so no1 can find it. speaking of which, can u assign passwords to folders?

also, u could just press alt and F4, which closes the current window.
