GameInformer magazine has a preview in the April issue for Jaws, a game based on the movie of the same name. Players control a great white shark and traverse the ocean ripping apart sealife as well as divers. This game looks uber sweet. There is a dismemberment engine which has over 25 unique "detachment points." Screen shots didn't look too impressive but hopefully it will gain some polish before it's release in August. Also for PS2.

It's refreshing to have a game where the animal villian is the star. It would've been lousy if you instead played as a standard human attempting to hunt Jaws down among other aqua monsters. I can't wait to watch preview screens and movies.

I wish this was real, then I could eat the hell out of Echo, because those games were horrible.
I would be like one of those psychos who thinks everyone they see is a certain person....so every Dolphin, or Porpoise, would be Echo to me.

I have that game.
It was so tedious sometimes, because you had to wait for him to surface....then after, you had to like, dodge jellyfish, and all these other things while harpooning him.
Its a classy game alright.

I had hours and hours of fun on the NES game. But I also had hours and hours of fun on the Echo games. Sorry you didn't like them Typh!

No it's real, the April fools was in a different section. Plus I remember hearing about this game a while back. It's being made by the same developer who did Echo.
I LOVED Jaws on the NES. It was kinda a bad game but I was obsessed with sharks back then.

 What kind of sick direction are videogames going? GTA and now Jaws...
