If I were Nintendo, I would try to get something with Mountain Dew (I know that it's Pepsi Product). I think that MD is just more of a popular drink.

The advertisement helps both products. If MD doesn't need help, Pepsi would be less likely to use it. Seriously, who regularly drinks Lemon? This is to help sell that product.
But yes, MD would help Nintendo more. Yummy
