Nintendo Release for 2005
Quote:
Nintendo of America has shown off its line up for 2005 for all 3 of its "pillars", and we could all be playing the new Zelda sooner than expected.
NoA have been kind enough to show their line up for Q1-Q2 2005 for all 3 "Pillars" and they go a little something like this.
The DS schedule gives us a new name title for Sawaru Made In Wario, as well as dates for the highly anticipated Metroid Prime Hunters and Electronic Art's DS version of NfSU.
February 14: Wario Ware Touched!
March: Atari Classics (Atari)
March: Pac Pix (Namco)
March: Yoshi's Touch and Go
March 14: Pokemon Dash
May: Ultimate Card Games (Telegames)
June: Ultimate Brain Games (Telegames)
First Quarter: Need for Speed Underground 2 (EA)
Second Quarter: Metroid Prime Hunters
The press release also shows that new Advance Wars, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart projects remain in development for the DS for the American market at least, although they don't yet have official release timeframes.
The GameCube release list confirms a few expectations yet reveals a nice surprise!
January: Resident Evil 4 (Capcom)
January: Virtua Quest (Sega)
February: Winnie the Pooh (Ubisoft)
February 8: NBA Street Vol. 3 (EA)
February 14: Star Fox Assault
March: Dragon Ball Z Sagas (Atari)
March: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Ubisoft)
First Quarter: Mortal Kombat: Deception (Midway)
Second Quarter: Donkey Konga 2
Second Quarter: Fire Emblem
Second Quarter: Geist
Second Quarter: The Legend of Zelda
It looks as if the highly-anticipated Legend of Zelda, which debuted at E3 in May this year, will hit the GameCube sooner than most expected. If it does indeed see release in North America in the second quarter of next year (between April and June), i'd expect to see a near-complete version at next year's E3. If it does not debut in Japan earlier!
The Game Boy Advance list, confirms that Mawaru Made In Wario, the motion-sensing, tilting, tumbling madness GBA Wario Ware action game, will be coming out as Wario Ware Twisted! The GBA release list for Q1-Q2 of next year is as follows:
January: Banjo Pilot (THQ)
January 10: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
February: Rave Master: Special
Attack Force (Konami)
February: Ace Combat (Namco)
February: Klonoa 2 (Namco)
February: Winnie the Pooh (Ubisoft)
March: Backyard Baseball (Atari)
March: Mario Party Advance
March: Pac Pinball (Namco)
March 21: Wario Ware Twisted!
April: Pokemon Emerald
Second Quarter: Fire Emblem 2
Second Quarter: Ultimate Pocket Games (Telegames)
I myself look forward to a busy year of gaming!
Happy Gaming

I wouldn't take that bet, because I would lose. And where would the fun be if it wasn't delayed a bajillion times like Ocarina of Time? My hype meter is counting on it being delayed.
But I'm with GM!
When valentines day roles around, my GCN is getting a new soul mate! 'Cause Star Fox Assault is going to be my valentine...
Ohhh...Fire Emblem too! On the GCN AND GBA!

Re: Nintendo Release for 2005
What the hell happened to the next mario game? If it doesn't come out in 2005, might as well put it on nintendo's next console.
Zelda is really the only thing that interests in GCN's 2005 lineup...*sigh* It's annoying to have to keep a console because of one or two franchise games. GCN just isn't cutting it for me anymore, which is unfortunate.

It is extremely sad. The only reason I own a GCN now days is because of the games made by Nintendo themselves.
There are a few exceptions, like SFA is being made by Namco. But it's still a Nintendo based franchise.
But if the new Zelda is at least as good as OoT, than I will still be satisfied.
And you're right! Where did the mario game go?! I was really looking forward to a new mario that didn't involve a water pack. I liked SMS...but I want a new traditional mario.

I think they allready basically up and said its bound for the next console. If they didnt say it, its implied. Hopefully it'll be a launch title and it will blow us all away.

Re: Nintendo Release for 2005
Nintendo needs to learn from the past mistake of not releasing a Nintendo console with a kick ass Mario game. I say hold off for Revolution and release a great Mario game.
I want the new zelda game

Re: Nintendo Release for 2005
I know what happened to the new Mario game.
Someone told Nintendo that giving mario a rocket pack wasn't revolutionary.
