Well, I like Virual Tennis way more than Mario Tennis.... but I think Mario golf is the best game in it's genre.
Mario Tennis is still good... it just has a lot better competition.

I know.... Mario Golf was designed by the team that made Hot Shots for Psx
I loved Hot Shots... but Mario golf beat it out.. now hot shots can regain the crown.... maybe

I liked both those games very much. Mario Golf a little more though, because I like golf more than tennis.

By the way, I should contribute to the topic...
When I get my Gamecube I will FOR SURE be buying Mario Golf...they should include online play and RPG aspects...
I can't wait.
