As I shed one tear in delight as such I have though of this day for many a...um.....year.... I go and give my little black cube above my television a hug, as i wisper into it's fan duct, "you are now loved by all, huraah my friend.....huraah.." as i back away and put a giant smile on my face...."It has been a long time comming, tis wonderful" then I went and made some popcorn and watched Wonder Years reruns....Ahem....
The point is that Square is here, i've waited so long, now im happy, nuff said... I love my cube.. Good day

Oh my, when I saw the article, I thought I was dreaming. I have considered long and hard to get a PS2 JUST FOR FINAL FANTASY GAMES! Now I dont have to shell out $300 just to play them. I am so happy. Gamecube has now another added bonus to get more gamers buying it.

First I thought it could be a joke or just a rumour... but it's true!

I think this isn't so much of good news for Gamecube as bad news for sony. Now people don't need a Ps2 to get final fantasy! but the key factor here is if square is making exclusives for nintendo or not. If they do, it'll give people (the casual, uneducated gamers) a reason to buy a Gamecube over a Ps2. so lets hope for some original exclusives

I thought the deal with Sony and Square was that all FF games released on next-gen consoles had to be released on the PS2, although not restricting other consoles from getting them as well.
But that's just what I thought I heard.
Anyway, yeah, this is awesome news. Now that Square is devving for Cube... Chrono Break anyone?
*everyone starts laughing*
Hey, I can dream, can't I? Look, it's almost as tangible as this burger... now I must gobble it up...

Good, I guess. Will bring people to Gamecube.
I just hope they can make a FF that doesn't suck.

Like I said before I prefer the Final Fantasy's of old, the new ones, going all futuristicy, running across pre rendered screens, not really my cup of tea but hey, they may grow on me.

Don't want pre-rendered backgrounds? Then how about checking out FFX or FFXI
Pre-rendered backgrounds were a thing of the PSX gen because PSX couldn't do very good graphics... now FF's will be MOSTLY 3D (there are still some areas in FFX that are pre-rendered... mainly in-door areas where there is only like one area to be in)...
And I prefer the futuristic stuffs... I dunno... The other FF's were too similar to me... a bunch of forests, plains, mountains, and small towns with some castles and stuff...
Whereas with futuristic stuff they can do different stuff... Like FF7 where y'know you get small towns and stuff with some various futuristic stuffs... and then bigger futuristic stuffs... or FF8 where it's even more futuristic with crazy buildings and lots of TV screens and stuff all over the place, and that one reaaaally big futuristic city...
or FFX... where yeah, it's futuristic, but the guys you hang out with follow a religion that bans machina (y'know... machines and junks)... so they're not VERY futuristicness...
Whereas in FF2 it's like "Hey look... castles and small towns and knights".... flash forward to FF3...
"Hey look... towns and castles... and knights and stuff..."
I prefer the new FFs... Especially FF7 and FFX... which I think are tied for the best FF game ever
so hah...

FF 7 was the best to me.....I haven't got a chance to play through FFX yet. But it was looking ok. Way too much talking ....or maybe it was because i was on a pay to play system.
But whatever the case I hope Square develops the FF online for Gamecube..or whatever...but I also hope they develop a new rpg..that blows everything out of the water, like chrono trigger did back in the days. I mean cool characters instead of that sissy Tidus ...sorry Deathshand but I think he's a sissy. and a new combat system would be great. etc etc ...oh and hope they can japanesse with sub titles , cause I loved when Capcom did that with some of their games.
BTW i bet the company will consist of 30 percent Nintendo employees and 60 percent Square.....and I really hope the game is about that Japanesse anime..cause I love animes.

I never said I didn't think he was... I just say I don't think he's as big of a "problem" as some people think... "Ooo wut is wit his clothes, he es a WUSS. And luk at dat har! Is he gaye or sumting?"
And I still wanna know if they could even get FFXI to work on gamecube since it uses PS2's Hard Drive... and NGC doesn't have one..... *cough* hmm...
