Eh overall I don't think it's that big of a deal since a lot of Eidos games are crap and weren't coming to GC anyways...
But I likes me some Legacy of Kain, and it's possible that the upcoming LoK game would be released on GC eventually... so that's one (possible) game that'd (possibly) be worth getting that won't be released on GC...

Damn, I guess I'm the only one with more 3rd-party titles than NCL ones...oh well.
As long as we're making "sweeping generalizations", aren't most PS2 owners known for having only Madden and GTA?

PS2 owners are in bed with Madden, and hop on the Madden train each and every year. They spend 50 dollars for a game thats the same as last years incarnation, only with updated rosters and possibly a new gameplay feature here and there. How can you compete with that?

I don't know anybody like that...
Instead of "PS2 owners are in bed with madden" I think it's more like "Football fans are in bed with PS2"...

I have Nintendo, Sega, EA, Atari (sadly), Namco, Eidos, Activision, Lucas Arts, and some more I can remember on my cube.

Yes... gotta say I agree with that one.
There are some spots fans who like GCN too... but they are getting screwed over

Re: Re: Re: Eidos to Pull GCN Support
Well, I won't be missing Eidos.
Companies don't seem to realize that to have a game sell on the 'Cube, it has to have QUALITY. But too many publishers/developers are brainwashed by PS/PS2. Meaning, they know that if they release a game on the PS2, they are going to make money because PS2=Casual Gamers and Casual Gamer=Buy it because of hype. Example: Enter the Matrix.
I can't wait until next gen. when companies want to come back to Nintendo (if Nintendo can pull itself together a little more with the general public). I want to see if Nintendo tries to give them some kind of stipulation. Kind of like right now with Square-Enix and Nintendo.
Oh well, the future is shaped the way it wants.

Enter the Matrix sold to both hardcore and casual gamers.
IMO Nintendo and EA are the kings of hype... I find most of EA's to be true and others find most of Nintendo's to be true
GCN is just like every other console... it has it's share of crappy best-sellers, and good best sellers.

No, for a game to sell on the 'Cube it has to have good name recognition (company or the game name itself)... Well ok that's not completely true...

Hardcore gamers should at least have the knowledge to read reviews before buying a game. At least thats what I do.

I wasn't upset with ETM... in fact I liked it, and I think it was well worth the purchase.
But that has nothing to do with me being a casual gamer or not, it has more to do witht he fact that I'm a huge Matrix fanboy

And then Eidos changes it's mind.
Now it's basically saying
"We won't make too many games for it, we will look to see if their is a chance for it to sell"
Of course, the logically thing would be to release them in close promixity and not 6 months later, but eh.
