Woohoo! Guess who is first the old NFC right now? That's right, the Eagles. Coupled with the Tampa loss, we have moved into first with the easiest part of our schedule up ahead...If we can win out, which we can and should...The NFC is coming through the Vet baby, look out.

Woohoo I didn't expect us to win both the Rams and the 49ers. Too bad Feeley couldn't throw a touchdown pass, but then again everyone kept fumbling. I think that Feeley did a really nice job. Now the Eagles are 8-0 in the NFC and we are tied for the best record in the NFL so that makes us on top! But since McNabb is out, they can't get cocky just because they are in first place, but I doubt that they will. The Seahawks are going down.

If the Eagles drop another game this season, it will be to the Seahawks, and that would be the idea game to lose if they were to lose one.

1) Its an AFC team. My Iggles haven't done well in that division this year.

2) Second West Coast game in 3 weeks. All those plane rides can't be good.

3) Eagles have come off of 2 emotional games to lay a non-coonference opponent. I smell let down.

4) the Seahawks now have film of Feeley and what he can do. They'll know the majority of plays that he'll run, whicch isn't many. I believe the Eagles ran one play 9 times on Sunday. If they don't get some more plays in there he's in trouble.

If the Eagles lose to the Seahawk I see them winning the rest of their games, seeing as they never lose 2 in a row and the last 2 games are against divisional opponents with no hope for the playoffs, plus they'll have Detmer back by then.

Stu, aren't you Canadian? Shouldn't you be rooting for the Newfoundland Razor Backed Aeronautical Engineers or something? J/K

I just wanted to say you're doing an excellent job with this thread Stu. Someone should stickify it if they haven't already.

I do have to say I think you're smoking dope if you think the Falcons are the best team in the NFL. One dimensional. The entire offense is Michael Vick and they have an average defense.

Great. He passed and ran for 173 yards. 173 yards passing for a first string quarterback SUCKS. They bare;y beat the Vikings, who SUCK. I think they might win one game in the playoffs, but thats all she wrote.

Actually Strangler, the Seahawks are an NFC team...they swtiched over with re-alignment and stuff, but I know what you mean about a letdown game...We've been going back from East to West Coast like crazy lately, and Hasselbeck is actually a pretty good QB, he threw for like 400 yards last week. Though Andy Reid has done a great job of coaching and making a good gameplan for our new QB's, so a win is in clear site, but a loss wouldn't be shocking either...I really want us to win these last 4 though...home-field advantage would be incredibly clutch right now...

As long as they beat the Bucs I'm happy.

The Falcons are 7-0-1 in their last 8 games. Nobody has beaten them since the first week in October. Does it really matter if their offense is one dimensional when they're putting up over 26 points per game? When they lose, I'll throw them back to 7th or 8th, because I don't believe they're the best overall team in the league...their schedule has been easier than other teams', they have some problems on defense, etc....but my power rankings have a lot to do with current streaks, and living up to expectations.

I can't even say who the best team in the NFL is today, so I have to follow other criteria. If the Falcons played the Eagles today I think the Falcons would beat them. The Eagles scored 3 points on offense against the Rams

*note* I'm not smoking crack or dope, and I do know a lot about football. Opinions are meant to be differed with.

Hey touchy guy, let it slide. When talking about sports ytou're SUPPOSED to talk about how the other guy who dissagrees with you has no idea what they're talking about. You do this whether they do or not. Its the whole uber-testosterone neanderthal principle of sports

No offense meant.

PS - Brian Dawkins would hospitalize Vick if they played today, and then the Falcons would simply go home and forfeit the rest of the season. As for the 3 points of offense last game, take away the dropped balls and abberant penalties and the Eag;es would have scored 17 points on offense with their 3rd string QB. Not to shabby. SO IF YOU KNOW A LOT ABOUT FOOTBALL... ACT LIKE IT!!! (remember... uber testosterone neanderthal principle...
)

Bond... I couldn't agree more. Bucs SUCK and are the most overrated team in football.

You CAN'T take away dropped balls and penalties

that's a huge part of football

3 points on offense is crap...the Colts destroyed the Eagles without Edgerrin James and with the Eagles having a healthy McNabb....explain that

Eagles are undefeated in Conference games... you know... ones that MATTER. Explain that.

I'll explain it to you...the Eagles are a good team and the only playoff-worthy team they've beaten in the NFC is the Bucs...

the Eagles have had a snore for a schedule

beat teams like Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, Denver, Oakland, San Diego, Miami, then get back to me...good luck in the SuperBowl...the only AFC team you've beaten is the Texans

who was/is your toughest opponent this year?

I would hope you wouldn't say the Bucs, considering they 'SUCK'

Now, as I was kind enough to answer your request, please answer mine.

The Eagles lost to the Indianapolis Colts who had recently lost to the Steelers, Redskins and Titans...the score of the game was an embarrassing 35-13, especially when the Colts had no Edgerrin James. To me, no number one team in the NFL should lose a game like that. Please explain

Look I'll try to be nonbiased (har har har):

The Eagles have had a very easy schedule this season, but then again so has Tampa Bay. Before I thought Philly was just McNabb... I mean obviously the Falcons are Vick, without Vick the Falcons are Bengal-worthy. But the Eagles have proven to me they can win without McNabb The Eagles have won two games with their 2nd and 3rd string QB. But then again so have the Rams so it is hard to say.

Green Bay could never win without Brett Favre. I mean Pederson is a fairly good quarterback, but it just wouldn't happen. So I find myself respecting the Eagles much more. They aren't just McNabb. In the end football is a game. If the Packers get knocked out of the players I'm going to be cheering for the Eagles.

Although of course the Pack is still better...
