I was rooting for some OT because it would have been fun, but the Saints pretty much got outplayed in every regard.

Jason Garrett is gonna be an expert on the Heimlich Maneuver by the end of the season because Tony Romo is always chocking!

Re: NFL 2011-2012
Damn people, no discussion?
Like how about McNabb's horrible game....or Sexy Rexy saying the fucking Redskins are going to win the NFC East.
Quote:
Is that Berrian? I think he’s triple-covered. You know what? Fuck it. I’m throwing it downfield.
Yeah, I see Jones open on the flank. But fuck that. Dumpoff passes are for faggots. I’m fucking Sexy Rexy Grossman. I can get that ball in there. And, even if I can’t, I bet I’ll be able to pull it off the next go round. I like throwing the ball long. It makes my dick hard.
What’s that? I should throw a quick slant? Fuck that. That’s gay. Button hook? Gay. Flare out? Gay. Screen pass? Kevin Spacey gay. This is fucking football. You can’t just expect wins to come to you. You can’t massage that shit. You gotta grab that game by the throat and rape the ever-loving shit out of it. You think a 5-yard out is gonna win you a game? You’re a pussy. This ain’t John Shoop running this offense. Sexy Rexy’s got the arm. The dragon. You gotta unleash the dragon.
Okay, I’m throwing it. Nice. Look how far it went. I look good. I bet I made that Pats cheerleader wet her panties with that throw. She fucking wants me. I bet she likes it over a stair railing. I can hit that with 100% accuracy, my dear. Mmmmmm. I am delicious.
Oh shit. Looks like Samuel caught it. Again. Oh well. It still felt fucking great to throw that shit. Tell me that wasn’t one of the prettiest passes you ever saw. You know what? Not only am I gonna throw it long the next time we hit the field. I’m gonna throw it even longer. Harder. You see that kid in wheelchair sitting in the end zone bleachers? I’m gonna nail him right between the fucking eyes with a Sexy Rexy fastball. Why? Because I can.
This is Rex Grossman we’re talking about here. We’re talking 210 lbs. of twisted steel and sex appeal. I’m not just a gunslinger. I’m a cumslinger. Throwing that ball long tells all the Rexettes that I am fucking out there. On the edge. Where I gotta be. The ladies love the danger. The unpredictability. Oh, maybe I’ll tease them with a pretty touch pass every now and again. But then I’m gonna go right back to pumping that ball out for all it’s worth. It tells them I throw like I fuck. That’s how we do things in the sexy business.
Tell me you’re not turned on right now. I am.

Seriously, as a bitter Bears fan...I wish Rex the best. I still have nightmares about that Super Bowl and that season...but you know what, he is a genuinely good guy.
Also, what about Tim fucking Tebow and the whole bible belt rallying to get Orton benched? The Bronco's O-Line looked like shit last week. Orton is as levelheaded as they come, and from what I could tell he made good decisions 75% of that game.

Re: NFL 2011-2012
Sorry about the lack of discussion. I actually completely missed week 1, but I'm hoping to catch more of week 2.
I really do feel bad for McNabb. I loved the guy on the Eagles, but I also love the fact that everyone who said the Eagles fans were too harsh on him, and that the Eagles were idiots for trading him can bite their tongues. The guy was the best QB the Eagles have ever had, and I'm honestly shocked at the quick downfall he's had, but Andy Reid knows QBs...He knew it was time to cut him loose. And the Eagles have gotten two 2nd RD draft picks + Rodgers-Cromartie for their last two starting QBs.(AND a 2nd rounder for AJ Feeley HAHA)" Who knows what they'll get for Mike Kafka (their current 3rd stringer).
As for the Eagles.. I didn't see the game, though from the highlights, I guess Vick had a semi-poor passing game, but made up for it with his legs. The thing is that Reid actually ran possibly the Eagles greatest weapon, Lesean Mccoy! Dude is insanely quick and a great pass catcher. With the Eagles D being much better, they can afford a slight regression from Vick and still be a better team. I think this game with Vick coming back to Atlanta could go either way (with the Falcons getting dominated in Chicago...) I still like the Eagles in a close one.

Re: NFL 2011-2012
Apparently Vick has a concussion and taunted Falcons fans before he left with the injury? I didn't catch the game, and the article I just read was a little vague. I like the Eagles, but I don't think I'll ever like Vick. I feel as though his "come to Jesus" transformation has been contrived and manufactured.

He was getting a lot of hate and boos from Atlanta, even when he was walking out with his injury. It's not a classy move. If it matters at all I think the Eagles may have won had Vick stayed in.
But yeah, I don't think he is changed. Just more well-behaved.

KG, it's Packers / Bears week -- who ya got?
I see the outcome of this game dependent upon which Cutler comes to play.

The only red flag in Green Bay is the number of offensive yards they gave up...and it's sad to see Nick Collins out for the season, that blows.
The Bears have gone down the last two times they met the Pack. We have injuries on our O-Line and we are missing two of our better receivers. We're kind of one-dimensional in that our entire offense is Matt Forte.
Having said all that...as long as the Bear's Defense comes to play, I think we can hold you guys for at least half the game. The rest will depend on if we can cut down the secondary.
I'm gonna say Green Bay 21 - Chicago 16.

Re: NFL 2011-2012
“I want to thank you all for inviting me to speak,” Ryan said. “It was especially gracious of you to host me, even though I’m a Packers fan and I assume most of you are Bears fans. But that doesn’t mean we can’t work together. As chairman of the House Budget Committee, I stand ready to do whatever it takes to help you re-sign Jay Cutler. I’m here to talk about the economy today — about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance. That wasn’t another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it’s not.”
In all seriousness, I actually like the Bears and think our rivalry is fairly civil. The Vikings on the other hand ... not so much.

Re: NFL 2011-2012
Ahhhh where was the hold??!!! What the hell refs? Horrible reffing....
They should have called a delay of game when Tillman was laying on top that GB player, they should have called pass interference on that long route to Hester, and where was the hold. o_O
Even with the bad reffing, the Pack was still gonna win. The Bears are a mess.
I like this rivalry too....Bears vs Packers is the best.
But how about dem Lions?

Re: NFL 2011-2012
Oh and I'm pretty sure Peppers did not have control of the ball when he rolled out of bounds....but how do you overturn something like that? That was iffy.
