Shipped my 360 off to a better place today. I hope it is able to work out its AODA issues in 2-3 weeks and I can welcome it back into my life then.

Yes, I found that out after I got the problem. But it's not really a "ring" when there's only 2 lights, so it's never a "red ring of death", more like "the half-pipe of death"

Of course, the important thing is that I can't play it anymore

If you only got 2 lights then it wasnt the RROD. RROD has 3 lights. 2 lights mean it was a different problem that caused your 360 to die.

Haha, I forgot to check the quote box. I wrote that in reply to BaB's message. I know the 2 red lights is some other thing (overheating), but the bottom line is that my 360 doesn't work anymore. I don't really care if that happened with 2 red lights or 3, or 14 green lights

And since it had been more than a year since I bought it, and that the extended warranty was only for 3 red lights, it couldn't have been replaced for free.

Bleh, you are thinking small.

Tell them its 3 RRoD anyhow, send it to them.. at worse they send it back to you not fixed.

It's too much of a hassle. We don't have an Xbox repair service here in Turkey (heck, Microsoft hasn't even started selling the 360 here, it's not officially out, and probably never will be). I have to send it to the UK, and I just can't be bothered. Maybe if I go there this summer..
