but it's like $3,380 USD ...that's a lot of money, but i figured that if i get a credit card, i can get it financed for about $175 CND/month

Yes, if the switch is on the back it kind of sucks. Switches on the front are cool though. Switches, and buttons, and gauges. You can never have too many of those.
