I'm glad this small team of people has found a way to do it. They'll have a great business once they perfect the device and begin mass producing it.

One problem: Not everyone's computer is right beside their Gamecube.

Back to the drawing board for those folks.

If you have 1-4 Wavebirds in use, it's not as big as a problem, except video cable length.

But other then that, I've been reading about this for awhile now, I can't wait to be able to play DD online

*edit*
Or just a wireless network

I am so down to play Double Dash. This is awesome, really awesome, but I just don't think the warp pipe will last long, but if it does, then I'll always be playing online.

Doesnt need to be.

ppl who have brandband hooked up to thier gamecube. or ps2 or xbox. its the same thing.

just a network line running to the console. it could be on a complete other level of the house. Doesnt have to be right beside.

Its free, other than the $35 braodband adapter (or 56K for you poor souls), and the cost of your internet provider.

Speaking of online, George Harrison of NOA had this to say about the next Nintendo console:

"But having said that, we know that consumers continue to be interested in online gaming, and we know that it has to be a component of our next system. We're thinking about how we can fit it in, what kind of partners we would need, and so on. "

Nintendo has also said previously, if they do go online, it should be free of charge. Other than maybe an initial cost.
