DarkMaster- wazzup man!!!

Anyways, even the notorious GameSpot gave Viewtiful Joe a whopping 9.2; so obviously this game is the real deal.

No "kiddy" or "purse" jokes can keep true gamers from saying this is one of the best 2D games ever, PERIOD- on ANY console.

I indeed concur.

WAZOO!

and this game is 10 bucks cheaper than most other GC games.

I just might by this. I got a $20 dollar rebate for my NHL game.

Notorious for giving good scores to gamecube games that deserve good scores...

Seriously I havn't heard anybody complain about gamespot's scores lately... They've always seemed pretty fair to me... But now people use their 'hatred for Nintendo' as a way to make a game sound even better

Anyways, I hadn't really been paying attention to Viewtiful Joe... but maybe I'll buy it... There are many more games I want more though... And I won't need a new game for awhile thanks to Suikoden III...

I'm not complaining about the scores either; I just notice the fact that GS generally gives a tad bit lower scores than all games on IGN.

It would appear they are a bit more strict overall on all platforms (except PC).

The legendary, Shadow Fox- how the hell ya been ol' friend?

You may just know me from the XboxAddict Asylum; use to spend 95% of the time posting in the Xbox vs. GameCube debate section, but haven't visited for quite some time (not enough "frequent" posters to keep my interest anymore, and no good topics).

Of course, I go by a different name over there...

Anyway, I made this thread because I love Viewtiful Joe- one of the best titles available for GameCube, and I’m glad to see that you "concur" with me.

BTW, you seem to be the "Official Ninja" of something or other at a handful of gaming forums, and you even have the same signature here!

Fear Effect, I've been at these boards long before XBA existed, and at two other boards prior to this one before that.

As of now, yes I float around pretty much everywhere (gaming, Maya 3.5, music, and other boards) so I keep everything the same for the most part, particularly my old sig from old Nintendose history.

And yes, I agree with you. I've only played the demo version, but VJ so far is the truth- no doubt about it.

You certainly have more posts at XBA I'd say, but of course, there is a greater number of posters over there (too bad most stray away from the debate section).

I might as well just come out and say it- You know me as X-Factor over at XBA, or at least you should remember me, and I am actually trying to get Neo to change my user name to X-Factor.

Nice to have you 'round here- gaming forums need more people like you!

I figured that was you.

I'm just curious as to why you didn't use your first name here. What was it Biohazard or something of the sorts?

I picked it up today for 39.99, and I had a 10% discount. So the total plus tax came to like 37. What an Amazing game. It reminds me of way back when, when games were just plain fun. They didnt have to have a plot, amazing graphics or sound, but they were hella fun. And Viewtiful Joe is. If you've ever liked an Old-school 2D side scroller/Fighter/Platform...you'll love it.

Whew! Well, I picked it up, and I must say, I'm thoroughly amazed. I got a free collector's watch with it and it came to $50 Canadian. Very good, considering some places had $55 and $60. I heard EB had $45, but they sold through.

Overall, just an amazing game. The graphics are SUPERB, the voice acting is SUPERB, the sound is SUPERB, and the Gameplay is Awesome!

Just.. Viewtiful!

P.S. I love all the Nintendo and Capcom references. I won't ruin them though for anyone who hasn't played it yet. =D Go, find some way to play this game, and buy it. It's cheap, you get something free, and you get an awesome game. It's amazing. @_@

DM "Hey, do you have Viewtiful Joe bobble heads?"
EB Clerk "Yep, here you go"
