Oh yeah, not exactly on topic, but I think this pretty much proves that at the end of FFVII, not everybody died... I remember people saying that's what happened... But I never remember there being ANY evidence of that, but people kept saying that's what happened that's what happened... But if this takes place 2 years after, and you see Cloud and such, I think it's pretty obvious that's not the case

Everybody in the game was talking about how Holy might destroy all the humans as well as Meteor because it might perceive humans as a threat to the planet. It never really says in game whether Holy kills the humans or not. I think most people just assumed that Holy did judging from the very very end with Red XIII, seeing as there are no humans around.

I didn't think the end-scene with Red XIII pointed to all humans were dead... Didn't it say like 500 years later or something before that scene (meaning Red XIII was the only FFVII character still living)? I thought the reason it was there was to show Midgar all abandoned and overgrown... Saying that it's been that long since Meteor ravaged the city, and after the whole ordeal there's no more Shinra, there's no more Midgar... No more city killing the planet and it's been 500 years (or however long it said) and they still havn't rebuilt... So yay the planet is happy...
Or whatever...

not only is there no evidence for it, but rather evidence against it as Ginkasa said. I wonder whether the whole "ancients" angle will have any role in this movie...god....i'm getting tickets like 3 months in advance, i AM NOT missing this....ok ok....cool down.....*jumps out window*

There is a possibility that the movie is a prologue of sorts for an actual game sequel.

Yeah, but that scenario is very very unlikely. Its best to stop now before you inadvertantly start some massive rumor or something that won't go away -_-
