Well, I never liked the SD characters during the actual game either. But I see no reason why they should change the look of this movie so much from the style of FFVII's FMVs.

Because the style of FFVII's FMVs is over 6 years old? If they had today's technology back then, I'm sure the game would look something like Advent Children.

I've never played FFVII but I plan on doing so.
I forgot about Cloud being a clone of Sephiroth... but I don't blame you for spoiling it, every gamer should have played the game by now.

The movie looks promising!! Imagine how much you will recognize from the game!
