It's probably because you started a thread complaining about your rep. People around here have a very low tollerance for people who posts things that they deem unecessary. And what is considered unecessary varies from person to person.

I mean common, if you get -repped because you dont listen to the Beatles *points at me* than thats pretty pathetic.

I just post what I want and appreciate the +rep when I get it. If I get -repped for something stupid, I just forget about it and go on. Its a paradox, though, people who -rep for stupid reasons in turn need to be -repped.
