FFXI Thread #2
OK... the other thread is too sloppy and jumping around too many subjects... This thread only has one point... Clearly post which nation you will be from, what race you want to be, which job(s) you want to do, and which version of the game you are going to get. Also, for people who aren't sure if you are getting the game or not, still post, but just say you are unsure. If you don't know the answers to these questions, just simply say you don't know.
That is the main subject... and the secondary subject is a discussion on how/if we are going to form a party (guild?) in the game. DO we really want to be split up and have different divisions? How many outsiders will we allow? Do we want to make this a big thing where tons of people allign and we have to make a seperate website, or a small thing where it's an exclusive Gamtavern members... and maybe some chicks we pick up
Here is my reply to subject #1:
-Nation: Whichever harbors the most GT members (so Windurst for now)
-Race: Hume
-Job(s): Red Mage (yes, different from my older plans)
-Game Version: Ps2
-Chances of getting game: Very Likely, but not set in stone
(follow that set-up)
As for the second subject, there is a poll... just answer these questions
1. Should we be split up into three divisions? (-EDIT-)
2. Why or Why not?
3. Where should the Group be set up?
4. Why should we go there? (please give logical reasons)
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?
6a. (if you said GT only) Why?
6b. (if you want others) Why... and how big are you thinking about making this group?
After answering this crap... then you can make all your comments... maybe nothing you haven't already discussed but eh

Nation: Republic Of Bastok
Race: Hume
Jobs: Well I plan to do Warrior, then Black Mage. After that I want to move on to Dark Knight, Dragoon, and possibly Samurai.
Game Version: PC
Chances Of Getting Game: 99.9%. I am getting 100 dollars on friday, and it will be saved for 2 months for this game. I am noy buying anything else in the mean time (because I won't have any money besides what I'm saving), unless I get a job. Also, I am getting it on release (October 29th).
Second Topic:
1. We should be split up into three divisions, one for each country. This way, we won't have to fight to pick which nation should be the "host", because we can be from wherever we want, and still be part of the clan.
2. Why? Because, like I said, we won't have to fight over which country is the best or which we should all be from in order to be from the clan.
3. I don't care which country the actual main group (if that's what you are referring to) should be set up. We can access any country we want, so it doesn't really matter.
4. Well... I want to be from Bastok because the style of that country suits me. Bastok is an industrial nation and the foundation of technology in Vana'diel. But like I said, I don't care either way. If everyone else at GT goes to San'doria, that's fine with me.
5. At first it should be GT only. After we build ourselves and become stronger, then we can expand and allow non-Gters to join. Of course, there should be a catch for them: They must post regularly at GT or they get kicked out of the guild!
6a. It should be GT-only at first because if too many people join at the beginning, things can get messy. We must organize ourselves first before expanding.
6b. The bigger we become, the better we are. It could help the actual forums with that little catch I gave earlier, which is good.
Also, here's another question: What do you plan on naming your character? I haven't really decided yet, but I am thinking of something completely original. We'll probably be seeing a lot of people named "Cloud " and whatever else that is Squaresoft related... so I'd like my name to be different.
EDIT: Yet another question: Who plans on paying the extra 1.00US per month fee for the Tetra game? I am. We could have Tetra tournaments much like the chess ones we've been having lately.

Re: FFXI Thread #2
1. Should we be split up into three divisions?
Yes...
2. Why or Why not?
Why? Well, before we meet in the game it will give us all time to make a name for ourselves in each community. Also, we will be able to learn the ins and outs of each place and learn any and all secrets the game has to offer... I doubt very many guilds will have all three areas covered, giving us an advantage. Hopfully 6 guys sign on and there are two from each country... if any place has less than 2 I will ditch the most populated place and join whoever is by themself.
3. Where should the Group be set up?
If we were not to split up, I'd say we join the tarutarus
4. Why should we go there? (please give logical reasons)
Well, I prefer the game be a challengeI feel that great warriors will stand out in Windurst more so than any other place.
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?
Other players from online
6b. (if you want others) Why... and how big are you thinking about making this group?
Well, I don't want it to get out of hand big, but big enough. I would like to see members of our guild span every race (male and female) and job type.
And on to Crono's questions:
What do you plan on naming your character?
I have a many ideas... but they may all be taken. But I think I may just take TheGame, or TheGameGT.
Who plans on paying the extra 1.00US per month fee for the Tetra game?
Well, I'm getting that Sony deal that squashes all online fees for Ps2 online games, I think it's $19.99 per month... Hopfully Tetra is included in the package.

1. Should we be split up into three divisions?
why not
2. Why or Why not?
competion is healthy and that will allow me to kill dyflon.j/k
3. Where should the Group be set up?
Im going to be in the mining town.
4. Why should we go there? (please give logical reasons)
im going there because its the strongest region(by strongest i mean physical strength).
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?
let anybody join.
6b. (if you want others) Why... and how big are you thinking about making this group?
because if you can find a diverce group of people your group will be god
and if we are missing a peice of the puzzle and we dont allow outside help then we will lose and a good size party but a huge clan.
I think ill be a
race: galka
jobs: death knight then maby some support magic.
I might pay the 1.00 for the card game it was ok in ff8,
as long as you had good cards.
*edit* oh and my name Hero2 I dont change it much
and a 100 percent chance of getting it unless I die
then a 99 percent chance

-Nation: not sure yet...
-Race: Hume/Elvin
-Job(s): Black Mage/Warroir/Paladin (dark or light)/Ranger
-Game Version: PC
-Chances of getting game: 99.99999999999999% sure
1. Should we be split up into three divisions?
- Yes
2. Why or Why not?
- It would make us better knon across the world
3. Where should the Group be set up?
- Main HQ should be set up where most GTers are...
4. Why should we go there? (please give logical reasons)
- Gotta visit HQ sometime...
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?
- Like Chrono said...at first it should be GT exclusive then after we're more or less orginized, we can start recruiting others.
6a. (if you said GT only) Why?
6b. (if you want others) Why... and how big are you thinking about making this group?
- To answer both questions, basicaly GT exclusive first becaue we all know each other here and it would be easier to orginize, cause we could open a knew forum thingy for FFXI and get everything together in there...and afterwards, we should get other people just to make the guild grow.

Re: Re: FFXI Thread #2
-Nation: Probably... Bastok
-Race: Leaning Elvaan
-Job(s): Woah, no clue yet, soldier!
-Game Version: PS2
-Chances of getting game: 78.26% Dare me to show you my calculations!... But I won't
1. Should we be split up into three divisions?
Definately...
2. Why or Why not?
More options for each of us, wider range in the world, greater opportunities to find outstanding recruitables, and a great way to possible monopolize the system! Woooooh.
3. Where should the Group be set up?
The least popular.
4. Why should we go there? (please give logical reasons)
Easier to get our name heard there if we do well... less competition, and fewer people to put up with. Though, I could be completely wrong. Who cares though..
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?
GT exclusive until we get a name for ourself, and then we'll make recruits... REAL recruit,s, not those stupid pity recruits just so that our numbers get big.
6b. (if you want others) Why... and how big are you thinking about making this group?
Big, real big... where else would be the fun?
What do you plan on naming your character?
If I go a Paladin sort of road, I'll be "Lawfer". If I go evil powerhouse, I'll try to nab "Luca Blight". If I want to be the "big guy", I'll pick "Hrothgar"... if I choose to be a mage, I'll go either "Mazus" or "Lezard Valeth". If I go thief, I'll have to think hard about the name... and if I go Samurai, I'll be "Suo". Aaand finally, if all else fails, I can be Random Perfection. In other words, I haven't a clue of what I want to do, therefor I haven't a clue as to what I'll call myself.

Re: FFXI Thread #2
-Nation: The Noble Kingdom of San d'Oria
-Race: Hume
-Job(s): Warrior to begin with
-Game Version: PC
-Chances of getting game: 100%
1. Should we be split up into three divisions? It should be two divisions. Those from San d'Oria, and then the rest. J/K Yeah it should be three.
3. Where should the Group be set up?Anywhere, a group need not stay in one place.
5. Should this group be GT Members exclusive, or have other players from online?Doesn't matter to me all.
Also, if we are in three divisons (from each country) how are we gonna decide which nation will own the land we conquest? (San d'Oria, Bastok, or Windurst).

Re: FFXI Thread #2
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this... but we should have a Final Fantasy XI forum when it is close to being released, or when it's released. That way we can have a specific place to talk about the game and post our stats and have "status checks" similar to what the PSO forum did. Actually, it should be a private usergroup, so only people who have the game can post there, or something...
