ROH Update: Corino injured

In the 8/16 show Steve Corino lost hearing in his left eardrum in a grueling match with Homicide after he ruptured his eardrum. The match went for a full 30 minutes and saw both men bleeding profusely, Homicide from his head and Corino from his arm. From what I am hearing this match was a match of the year candidate and literally took your breath away.

Homicide went over when Corino would not submit to an STF/Armbar on his injured arm and his ring man threw in the towel. I WILL be ordering this one IMMEDIATELY when it is released.

BTW, Corino has put on some size and looks to be around 230-240 right now. I think the WWE may be calling soon.

Other results saw CM Punk losing in a non-title to the ROH Champ Samoa "I will kick your face off" Joe. Christopher Daniels became the #1 contender when he defeated his protoge Xavier. And in a scary moment, Low Ki legitimately KO'd Danny Maff (formerly Mafia of Da Hit Squad) with an errant kick. Maff wa out for a few minutes and Low Ki became so emotional (Maff is his best friend in real life) that he attacked an ROH camera man. From all reports both Maff and the Camera man are OK.

Once again, I will DEFINITELY be ordering this show once it is available. I'm not even going to wait for the DVD.

BTW, did you pick up any ROH tapes yet. I thought you said you were going to. I highly recommend them. Especially the 1 year anniversary show with the RIOT at the end. And who incited the riot? Corino... who else?

I have 8 ROH shows right now, I haven't ordered any of the more recent shows for a while, I've been stacking up on some Steiner Bros. compilations, some Japan stuff, and a bunch of old WCW stuff lately. Are the recent ROH shows as good as they used to be months ago?

For some extra info, my favourite ROH matches so far would probably be any of the Low Ki/American Dragon/Christopher Daniels matches involving two of them or more, Briscoe brothers against eachother, and the 4 man Iron Man.

How could they do that to themselves? Isn't that a bit drastic? lol.... Looks really cool though. Do you have to order these tapes, or can you just get them at really good DVD stores?

I'll look for some really sick pro wrestling pictures if you think that's drastic, Joeiss.

And I think you can only order the tapes off the internet, Strangler's sig has the links to where you'd need to go. ROH official site and RFvideo. I REALLY recommend getting some ROH tapes though, you won't get screwed just because it's online, don't even worry about that, and the 8 shows I have are AWESOME. VERY much worth the money.
