Or it could be something horrible like Virtual Boy. We'd all be blind if we kept playing that thing, its good that nobody ever played it.

[sarcasm=OH MY GOD!!! It's the MEGATON announcement!!!!!!!!!!!]NOT!

All kidding aside, this had better be good. I'm rather getting tired of Nintendo's lackluster performance. I'm sticking it out for them, but I am REALLY sick of their, shall we say, non-traditional way of fixing things. But I suppose, that's what makes them Nintendo. I just wish their luck would change.

It had best be good... And not expensive... I spent money on me Gamecube and I sorta regret ever buying it... 200 on the system, some money on games... Sure I wanted the games I got, but if I didn't get them I could have just spent the money on some of the many PS2 games I also want...
Bah... Stupid having to get Nintendo games on Nintendo consoles...
I bet it will just end up being a big overhyped bundle of nothing special...
But hey if it's something worth buying, fine by me

Oh what a surprise!!! Why does every thing that comes out of the Nintendo’s mouth of late seem to be total crap? Nintendo big “radical” rethink well just be another mad cap way of trying to save the company which will end up hurting them. Any one recall the last couple of time Nintendo use the word “radical” the N64 so called dream team of developers was one of them and also one of the most stupid things the company has ever done. Why doesn’t Nintendo just ask it fans what they want for once instead of doing what some miss guided out of touch 45 year man thinks they do. =/ It would be really sad to see Big N drop out of the console market but how long can they keep in it like they are.

I say it's a headset peripheral with a tiny gyroscope. When you look left and right the screen moves accordingly. Good for 1st person shooters.

That would only be a good thing if its super-lightweight and its just as easy to move your head as it is in real life. Too many times those kinds of things at arcades are so heavy, its painful.
Also, about the GBA SP being too expensive...I really dont know how you can say that...when Sony is going to charge 300+ dollars for the PSP when it comes out. But IGN says the price of the Cube will be dropped to 99 US smackers soon, its a safe bet the GBA will follow suit with it's own price drop.

What about the GBA SP? That signifies the first step in Nintendo listening to the consumers, and look at how well its selling. At least 30,000 units (usually more) of it a week are being sold in Japan, and other countries are selling it quite well too.
Also, the Gameboy Player is a godsend to gamers (at least to me ) The first time you can "officially" play GBA games on your TV.... oh yeah
Then you can't forget that the former prez left awhile back, and look at the progress being made after he left. Exclusive games from certain 3rd party games and great collaborations with Ninty and other companies to make games. *still anticipation how F-Zero GX turns out*
So as you can see, Nintendo is making an effort now. Its not an overnight thing, but by next gen., it should be a fun console battle to see.

While the GBA SP might be a step in the right direction, Nintendo practically put themselves at square 1 with the hefty price tag attatched to it. Nintendo is still abusing their monopoly on the handheld industry by charging twice as much as they have any honest right to.
Perhaps the PSP will give them a little heat and make the reconsider.
