Depends. Did your old computer use PC100 or PC133 Ram? Or DDR Ram? And does your new computer use PC100/133 or DDR Ram. I'm asking because you can't use PC100/133 Ram with DDR Ram. (Found out when I was getting a motherboard and accidentally bought PC133 Ram instead of DDR Ram.) And about the beeping. Make sure they are both in the correct way and all the way down. Just being up a small bit can make the motherboard act up.
