Final Fantasy 8 is like middle age... The series hit its peek there, and then began falling. Oh, and I just know that there will be a Final Fantasy 16 *shudders*... only four away.

Hey! VIII was awesome! Most people just seem to hate it because Cloud and Sephiroth were gone.

My favorite has to be IX though. I had the most fun playing that. X was okay... Not too crazy about the characters and battle system kind of annoyed me. VII was "okay". I think it's seriously over rated, but a very good RPG with some good characters, but story was.. eh for me.. lol. Perhaps I'm too picky? :unsure

Why did I just say all of that?

I love FF8. I don't know why, I just do. It was just great. But my favorite FF of all time is 6 followed by Tactics, then probably 7, and then 8, and then 9. Lol. Anyway, those are the ones I consider great. I only consider 9 great because it sorta took me back to a job class thing. I love Job classes. And the story was pretty good.

People hated FF8 because the story sucked! It was waaay too sci-fi and also the magivc system was really ****ed up. Drawing magic? WTF?!??

This made the game way too easy... way too easy, I only died once throughout the damn game.

Keeping games loaded inside your PS2 will eventually damage either the disc, the tray, and the motor/cog holding the disc in place (especially if you use a vertical stand like I do). Therefore, I never keep a game in my PS2- not even a movie.

However, I've been currently playing the hell out of Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, and of course, my fave TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT.

Great ratings or not, they are slightly disimproving. I'm saying X would be the equivelant to VI. I'm not saying that the games are anywhere near bad, just that they are getting "worse", and to whatever small degree.

Of course it's not realistic for me to say that Final Fantasy will gradually get worse, and worse until the games are only "meh" or perhaps even "The series actually got that high? Who cares". There's always the chance that FFXIV or something will be a great game, and even better than 6-8. Just a general trend that has been noticed... Like stock markets.
