Chris gets the points, but I'm apt to take them away for asking one of the easier wrestling trivia questions out there.
Bruno Sammartino. He held the title for 7 straight years, defeating The ORIGINAL Nature Boy Buddy Rogers is 2 minutes with a over the shoulder back breaker, and then losing it to a stunned MSG crowd to The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff in 72' (I think that was the year). He later regained the championship 2 more times for a total of about 9 years as WWWF champion, losing the last time to the afformentioned Superstar.
I'll go update the first thread where I'm keeping track of the points.
Next Question for 5 points:
Who was the first RECOGNIZED World Heavyweight Champion ever?

William Muldoon? I thought it was Frank Gotch in 1906. I think you might be thinking American champion, but I'm not positive anymore so I'll double check my sources and get back to you.

Well that question is going to be thrown out, as I can't get a solid answer anywhere. According to some Gotch was first recognized world champ, while others believe it was George Hackenshmidt, Muldoon or even Abraham Lincoln. So since I cannot find any concensus, that question is null and void.
Here's the Replacement Question, worth 5 points:
Who was the accomplished wrestler who was cursed to be brought into the WWF as "The Gobbledygooker"?

Good stuff NYG. 5 Points for you!
Next Question, 3 Points
Who is the only Japanese wrestler to win the WWF/WWWF/WWE World Heavyweight Title, though his short reign was never recognized by the WWWF/WWF/WWE? Extra Credit: What title was given to this wrestler in appeasement that he stil holds to this day?

Well I thought someone would guess Fabulous Moolah because I was gonna add "(including WOMEN)" but I forgot to add it anyway. I thought it would throw some people off. Besides, the easiest wrestling trivia question is the True or False Question- Who is Jim Neidhart?
~And didn't McMahon award Inoki the Martial Arts Championship, which changed hands a few times until Muta gave it up, or am I thinking a totally different thing?

BAB gets the points and Chris gets the EC.
I'm pretty sure that Inoki never lost the Martial Arts championship, but I'll double check my sources when I get the time. And sorry Chris, no chicks unless otherwise noted. But it was a very good twist on the question. I think she held the women's title for over 20 years!
I'll be heading to Baltimore on work tonight, so the trivia game will go on a short hiatus until Thursday night when I will return with force. Until then, here's a tough one to bide everyone's time until then.
How did "Killer" Kowalski earn his "Killer" name?
See you thursday night!

I the mid-1950s, I think it was either 54 or 55, he somehow got a piece of some wrestler, Yukon Eric, ear off. When he went to check up on the wrestler in the hospital, reporters caught him laughing att Eric, and he wass given the monkier "Killer" and one of the early heels.
~Edit~
I was thinking of putting Fabalous Moolah as the answer since you didn't say it had to be a male title.

Well BreakABone already got it, but didn't Yukon Eric later kill himself? I don't know if that had to do with Kowalsi being called "Killer" or if it was just what BAB said, but whatever.
And Stranger, tell me if you find out about the Martial Arts Championship, because I was almost positive that Muta also held it at one time.
Edit~ and since The Strangler won't be back for a few days (unless he sees this before he leaves and asks another question) I'll ask a few questions for fun until then. And if others want to, go ahead.
*Name the only person to hold the Triple Crown in both WWF (IC, Tag Team, World) and WCW (US, Tag Team, World).*

I'm guessing the answer you are looking for is Bret Hart.
But if you want to count techanilties so has Chris Benoit and I believe Chris Jericho.

I don't think Jericho won the WCW Tag Titles or the US Belt though.
*Thinks of more trivia questions.*
Can you name the first WWWF/WWF Triple Crown Champion?
