This news is hopefully one of many steps forward for Nintendo. The potential is still there, and it's why I remain open-minded despite what anyone else says.

Although it's sad, it's also true. Looking back at Nintendo's history, you are right, they have been doing those stuff you mentioned.
I like Nintendo for their games. Just about all their games are quality titles. But those 3 things need to go away for them to successfully win the "Console War".
