Pre-E3: Dino Crisis 3 Report (Info & Screens)

Capcom has released some details on its upcoming Xbox action game Dino Crisis 3.

As previously reported, the game takes place in the year 2548. You'll take on the role of either Patrick or Sonya, members of an intergalatic marine force called SOAR. The duo is investigating an Event Horizon-like spaceship named the Ozymandius, which has reappeared in space after going missing 300 years prior. As you might imagine, the ship is filled with angry space dinosaurs, and combat ensues.

Combat will let you use a collection of futuristic guns, as well as automated drones called WASPs. Using WASPs frequently will earn you points that can be used to purchase weapon upgrades and recovery items. Aside from combat, the game will also contain some light puzzle solving and other exploration-related activities.

Dino Crisis 3 is scheduled to ship this August.

If it was the dinosaurs killing the humans, I'd consider it. But since it's just another typical "good-guy human kills evil creature game", I'll pass.

Actually, when I first heard of the concept, "dinosaurs in space", I laughed, but after seeing those screens... DAMN.

I've only played the first one on the DC but this just doesn't look anything like it to me. I don't have an x-box so I couldn't try the game anyway but... It just doesn't look like it'll be scarry at all, all the places look really bright. And the gameplay can't be the same, you can fly for crying out loud. Well in its defense, it sure is purdy...
