I'll do you a favor and just assume that you meant debilitating.
Pedantry is debilitating? Nahhh, I'd say a little anal retentiveness now and then keeps the rest of the world straight.
And in this case, it is not a matter of being anal, it's a matter of being correct.
I'm generally not even going to try for grammatical perfection in my posts, but if you want to take it to that level, be prepared to whip out the word processor and give your posts a little spell check before hand.
