I've owned my PS2 for about a year and a half or so now, and the only disc error I've ever gotten is from Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 I just bought off half.com... and I'm pretty sure it's from the scratches on the game (Like new condition my ass)... *shrugs*

I dunno what to recommend though... This being mainly an NGC board, I think most people are gonna say NGC, but I've gotten much more use out of my PS2... much much more... but with the recent releases of Zelda and Metroid (Well ok, that one's not so recent) and such then NGC is now officially worth the money I payed almost a year ago...
