Arrow Attach Rates

Tie Ratios:

PS2: 6.09
XBOX: 4.74
GCN: 4.67
GBA: 2.74

For example, this means that for every PS2 sold, 6.09 PS2 games have been sold. Same goes for every system

I find the PS2 attach rate very impressive simply because of the amount of systems sold. I would think that the higher the hardware sales, the harder it would be for software sales to keep up (see: GBA)

XBox and Gamecue look to be about even.

GBA software sales are quite low. This is most likely due to:

-lack of quality software titles
-target audience (lets face it...kids don't have money)

I think GBA's problem is the price of the games (like your second reason)

I mean, with all the great console games out, it's hard not to spend the extra $10 for the bigger version of a game. I mean, THPS4 for GBA is $39.99... if someone is that interested, why not spend the extra $10 for the home console version?

Where did you get this from? Is this for the World, US only, Europe only, or Japan only?

I find the exact oppisite to be logical. The longer the system has been on the market and the more games out there, the more games people have bought for that system. PS2 has been out the longest, it makes perfect sense...dosent really explain why GBA is so low, but it certinatley explains Xbox and Gamecube.

you proved yourself wrong with the mentioning of GBA

more units sold = more software units must be sold to keep the attach rate high

when Gamecube sales reach 15 million in the US (and I doubt they ever will) we'll compare attach rates...

This is all so absurd...while it may be accurate, I just dont see how. Just look at the sales charts for the USA in November, according to EGM.

Nintendo has the No.2 game for the month with Metroid Prime. Also the 5 game with yu gi oh for GBA. All in all, they have 8 games in the top 20 in sales, 3 of which are Gamecube games. What about X-Box? 1 game in the top 20 at no. 7. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. So dont tell me Cube and GBA games arent as well as X-Box games, because they are.

Yes they were from November like I clearly stated in my post...but do you really think X-Box did any better in December? Or the Cube did any worse? Im sure Prime's sales most likley went up.

Metroid Prime has also not been released outside the US. So, it's not over yet.
