Hey, as some may know from my posted Desktop, I haven't gone shopping for computers for ages... and therefor know quite little about the limits of new computers.
However, I'm sure you'll find good deals over at:

There are desktops anywhere from $300 to $2300.
And, if it would save you any time, here's
my quick pick. My sister has an HP... and it downright sucks. But, she bought hers at "super bargain price". I'm quite sure that compromised the RAM.
You need not worry though,for that computer has a hefty 512 RAM. And yes, that sounds like a lot to me... 'cause my computer doesn't break 100 (96MB to be exact)!
