I use Limewire, primarly because it's the only file sharing device thats Mac compatible but it too, has a lot of users and I would reccommend it. Their are two versions, Limewire Pro and Limewire Basic. You want basic because it's free. It's good though, give it a try. Limewire.com
 P.S. *cough*Computer Board*cough*

I use Kazaa... I do not download too many things.. So I don't care what my participation level is. Also, I think it helps if you let people download your music... Yep.

I empty my share folder all the time and I would reccommend that others do the same. Keeping files in there slows your internet speed down because those files are being uploaded to other people whenever your online. Plus, you don't want the government finding out what you've stolen. |

ok.. this is how it works.. the more integrity rated files you share the higher yopur participation level... it doesnt really get you higher speeds but what it does is...
Ok for example... if theres 3 people downloading of someone with a rare file and he only allows 3 uploads.... and they all have 100 participation level.. and then all of a sudden you come along.. and you wanna download something off that person.. and you have say... 200 participation level.. you bump off the person with the lowest level and take his place.. so you always get a download while the other person has to wait till you finish....

Get it? Im bad at wording things.. so wheatever.... most peopel on kazaa dont have more than like 80 participation level anyway.. jus keep it at like 150 if you can.. mines at like 800 right now

The new Kazaa sucks. Oh no wait that was the new MSN...
Anyway I liked Kazaa better half a year ago, when it didn't have that annoying pop-up!
Download 'vince pope - beetroot'. Music from the GC commercials! (but be sure to DL the long version of 3 minutes +)

Go to google and search for 'AdAware' and 'Spybot' those should destory the pop ups... unless Kazaa won't operate without them. Then you're screwed. |

 | Hey, thanks for the tip! Those programs get rid of 'all' pop up right?

 | Well, if you download Kazaa off of Kazaa.com it has spyware. If you get Kazaa Lite I don't think it has any. Spyware tracks what you do on the internet, It's not really harmful, but you don't want it on your PC. |
