Hmm... SH3 has more vibrant colors, but that's just the type of graphics.
RE4 is also a lot more blurry, which should look great in motion.
I don't like it when you can see every pixel moving on your screen...
So I'd say... I dunno.

Silent Hill looks better here... But at the end, RE4 will look better, IMO.
I like that guy's beard... Haha.

RE4 looks to be real-time, SH3 FMV. Not saying that is the case, but from these shots, it doesn't seem like a bad assumption. That's how Square markets their games, maybe Stu took lessons? Either way, out of those 4 screens, SH3 looks better.
But in reality, RE4 will look better. SH3 might have some good cut scenes, but it can't produce those graphics in anything else. And if I cared about the graphics during cut scenes, I'd probably be a PSX fan. Or hell, why not watch a movie?

When you say FMV, do you mean like FMV FMV or FMV as in just a normal cutscene using in-game graphics or whatever?
Cuz the shots aren't FMV (or CG or whatever... it's pretty obvious if you've seen the movie those shots are from, but even in the screenshots it's pretty easy to tell... if it was FMV, they'd be much smoother around the edges like that d00ds jacket and such), but they are from cutscenes... So yeah...
I think Silent Hill 3 will produce very good graphics during normal gameplay too... SH2's graphics were very nice (at least when you turned the filter off they were) and this looks to be much better (and hopefully without the filter)... So yeah... and stuff...

Definately the RE4 (by viewing both the PS2 and GCN trailer for the games), IMO. RE4 has way more texture depth, higher polygonal models and scenes, and more per-point light sources than Silent Hill 3.
