I don't think that whether a game is also released on PC or not really affects a games popularity or sales for a console. Look at Morrowind. It was far inferior to its PC brother, but it still sold very well and in a genre that you wouldn't think would sell to console gamers.
The reasons for this are obvious.
XBox = $200
High End PC = $2,000 plus and thats low ball.
So I think the PC releationship is really a non-issue.

If it's a FPS or one of those "PC Type Rpg's" then for me I'll get it on Pc.
And if ur high end pc is $2000 American, it must be some kind of main frame.
