Well, if I'm going to play the game again the next time, I leave it in. And I don't unplug the cube because that would just drain the internal clock battery. The only problem with leaving the cube plugged in would be the risk of lightning causing a power surge or something
.
This is the way I shut it off though:
- Go to main menu
- Open lid
- Take disk out (after it stips spinning)/keep disk in
- Press the power button off (if disk is still in, wait for it to stop spinning)
- Close lid.
