Big GCN Announcement Pending? - Page 4

Nintendo's already funding a group called Genius Sonority (some people misspell it Genius Sorority, but that's the wrong name). They are being headed up by the lead programmer for Dragon Quest.

No idea whether anything is going to come out of this or when we're going to find out about it. But anyways...

Yeah but Square has been productive for sony over the last 2 yeras.... Rare hasnt been for Nintendo and nintendo hadnt met profit expectations by a long shot so neeed the extra money i guess? Buying capcom would be really big but the general public wouldnt really know about that sorta thing and wouldnt cause a worldwide boom. A nre pokemon game thats been super top secret would be really big and if it were online would be eaven bigger but not as big as their making it out to be... Having nintendo make games for other consoles wouldnt help sell gamecubes

..... Buying MS would be megatonish tho

wow.. i have no idea what it could be.. yoda's idea was kinda cool tho

.... an online smash bros would also be really cool..

It's funny, you know? One could say that the magazine was payed a large sum of money, just to report that, hype everyone, make everyone love Nintendo, while Nintendo watches their every move, assuming a lot, and then come out with something minimal. Hey, it could happen.

Ummm....my saying. (I didn't take time to read other posts, so if what I say sounds familiar, than just ignore it). But I think it might have to do with what EGM's little Rumor thing said about what the "new" Zelda after "Celda" could be. It could be a remake of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I would just love it if they announced that they were doing that!

I can only imagine playing OoT again with kick ass graphics that take full advantage of the 'Cube along with things never seen before. Maybe the N64DD add-on for OoT will be implemented. Only time will tell*sigh*

True but I was very suprised when Nintendo just lent Rare to Microsoft... I mean, Rare was Nintendo's strongest ally. The suddenly, they're gone. Square is like Sony's heart. Square leaving Sony is kinda like Rare leaving Nintendo which they did.

Squaresoft is most probably the developer that will be the toughest to buy-out. They sell millions in a week. So that must mean they will be expensive. But hey, I still think it could happen.... I hope.

An OoT remake?? Come on..

I can play OoT on my N64. I want a new game!!! Not a simple remake!! Remakes are for the AGB!!

The games they "remake" on AGB are ports, not remakes...

personally I'd rather have a fully 3D Link to the Past remake (y'know, with the OoT-ish gameplay... or just the newest Zelda game, which appears to have similar gameplay

) with some added quests, areas, etc...

That way because you're seeing it in 3D instead of 2D, even the old areas will be like a WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE, MAAAN! @_@

an OoT remake would be nice, but the game isn't really too old and, although I'd probably buy one if there weren't many changes besides graphics (would be nice to play OoT again

), I would really wanna see it remade with like... Resident Evil-ish changes... Meaning a lot

New areas, new enemies, new events, new items, new mini-games, new ocarina songs, and a lot more... That'd be shweeet....

I think Nintendo should start a new RPG series. Square started Final Fantasy and I am sure Nintendo could think of something like that.
