Edit: Okay, so maybe I'm a little caught up in the excitment. Like DeathsHand said, this could just be some little thing being blown out of proportion, like Pikmin 2 or something 
However, I don't think it will involve any existing cast of characters, I think it will introduce a brand new cast of characters. Who knows?
