Miyamoto Reveals new tidbits in Norwegian Interview...
I'll summarize the main points:
1) New Nintendo online game!
Shiggsy says Nintendo infact takes Online gaming very seriously, and that they have a game in the works internally which will be released after PSO ver. 1&2. He goes on to say the game's not in the fantasy genre.
2) He says he's hard at work with the Zelda game, and they are working like ants to get the game done for the Japanese holiday. He hopes the game will be released early 2003 in Europe.
3) The GBA version of Zelda will have link up capabilities with the GC version.
4) He admits that SMS can be hard at times, but says this is done because after you've finished the game, those will be the places you are most likely to remember. Easy stuff is easily forgotten.
5) After having released many well known franchises come christmas and next year, Nintendo will concentrate on original content with new characters.
6)He comfirms that there will be sequels to SMS and Zelda on the GC, in other words, at least two incarnations of each series on the console. He goes on to say they both series will be taken in a brand new direction, as opposed to SMS and Legend of Zelda.
Link!

Oh how sweet it is.
Not fantasy eh? Does that mean any Mario-related thingy is out then? Was thinking it might be Mario Kart, Tennis, or Golf. Really hope its a communication game like AC except better graphics and even more to do.

Is it just me or could the 'next' zelda (the one after the current one, or 'celda' ) be in the form of the SW2000 demo...

Hmmm.... so there is gonna be a companion version of Celda on hte GBA? Or are tehy talking about A Link to the Past? Cuz the two games aren't a like....
Was it just me that saw that, or did other people notice that either?
Whatever, I'm probably wildly grasping at hopes of a new Zelda game on GBA.

I think they were talking about LttP, not a new Zelda game for the GBA. Though I guess it is possible...
*still doesn't get his hopes up*

Yay! A sequel to SMS! Could it possibly be a mix between Luigi's Mansion and Mario Sunshine? Could it be a two player simaltaneous game? Ghosts have taken all the shines and created a fake island upon which Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Water Mario are all stuck...

Just cuz Zelda on NGC and Zelda on GBA are different, doesn't mean they can't have connectivity... You could get something simply by having saved data for the GBA game or vice versa...
Or another example is like... say when you get the butterfly net thing in LttP... it unlocks a special little butterfly net type mini-game in the NGC version or something...
Or maybe the extras have to do with the new 1-4 player scenario game thing that comes with LttP...
Anyways, I pretty much figured that there would be 2 Zeldas on NGC in it's lifetime... I hope they do realistic graphics this time... not that the cel-shading is bad, but you get a cel-shaded game AND a nice looking realistic game on the same system so yeah...

if it has the graphical style of the SW2000 demo, I'll cream my pants thrice and buy Gamecube and the game

I hope this new online game is either Mario Kart or an SSB online. I kinda figured he would go in a new direction with Zelda again, so other companies can copy it.

Yeah cuz so many companies are copying zelda, even though y'know Cel-shading wasn't new when Nintendo did it, and even though some may argue that Nintendo made it popular, well.... uhh..... hmm... that may be true, but I dunno...
But about companies copying stuff, if a developer adds some big really good thing in a game, and a developer makes a similar game, they will probably want their own similar version of that thing in the similar game that is similar to Zelda in a similar way with a similar thing that was made to be similar to Zelda...

Was I the only one who caught wind of the Zelda GC/GBA connection from e3. Thus far, it's rather simple, you can have a second player help you on your quest by using the GBA which will allow them to go ahed of you and bomb your enemies and stuff.
