Cable is easier to use. With DSL you need a DSL subscription, and an ISP. With cable you only have 1. Make much more sense logically.

Anyway, with cable, I'm gotten over 2Mbps connection. In fact, I once downloaded a file at 3Mbps. But once more people join and people are on, I get down to 500kbps, even 300kbps at peak hours.

With DSL, you'd go broke if you ever wanted a 2Mbps connection. With DSL if you get a 768Kbps plan, your speeds will vary a little, but you'll always be above 768Kbps. With Cable, I have a 1.5Mbps connection, and while I can get over that, I'm usually well under it.

If you're serious about broadband, get an expensive DSL package, cause you can garauntee faster speeds. You also pay more for those faster speeds. But hey, I wouldn't mind paying $80+ monthly for some sweet speed.

Anyway, for the average user, it won't make a difference either way.
