Default Latest European sales numbers.

According to Activision in a press conference, these are the latest sales figures for the GameCube and the Xbox.

800,000 - GameCube
500,000 - Xbox

Note that the Xbox came out 2 months earlier than the Gamecube, and the Gamecube was only released just over 2 months ago.

Activision also made a prediction of how many consoles would be sold in total by the end of this year. They were the following: 2.75 million for the GameCube and 1.50 million for the Xbox.

Thats good news for GameCube fans. I kinda thought GCN would have more sales than Xbox in Europe...

I've said it since last year.

Some X-Box fans just won't believe Cube-Europe news...

At least M$ is trying to get some done. But I think Nintendo did more advertising over there. And with a few of the lawsuits for certain "commercials", I think more parents decided on a 'Cube. But thats just my thoughts

Cube-Europe got it from Yahoo, and it was a Financial Release Conference Call so it is pretty legitimate. Even when you get positive GameCube news you try to make it sound bad!

Yeah I mean you Bond

How do I try to make good GCN news bad?
I just predicted that there would come some X-Box fan to say that it is just a rumor or whatever. You sursprised me this time.

There you are rolling your eyes to me being an Xbox fan as stated in your previous post.

I replied to this topic, and I obviously am a fan of the Xbox because I moderate the Xbox forum and I own the Xbox.

You are stating that I am an Xbox fan that surprised you.

Jesus christ I am confused.

I don't roll my eyes because you're an X-Box fan.

I remember another thread about console sales where it was you vs me. So I'd figure you'd argue with this not-yet-official news.
But you didn't and with that you sursprised me. ... get it?

As much as I am a Nintendo fan, you have to give MS the benifit of the doubt that it is $100 more, so the GC looks a little more sensible to buy.

Really I would not take them nubers in to much they sound a little made up to me 800,000 and 500,000

just wait for ECTS on the 29th August.

I have been checking the sales numbers for the UK every week from the Xbox launch And Gamecube has sold more every week from its launch (well there were the two weeks when the Xbox went down in price) but no way the gap is that big if the UK is any thing to go by! (we are talking the the Xbox is selling 9,000 units a week well the Gamecube is doing 11,000 to 13,000 a week)

Why would Activision make up numbers?
