Dreal, it's just one of those phases in life where everything miserable is concentrated in a very short period of time. The only advice I can give you is to 'try' and stay focused. Whether or not it may be inconvenient, you must leave some 'me' time for you guessed it, you. Just relax, and think things over. It may be dreadful, but all you can do for your dad is check up on him (even if he is quite a distance away), because his health is in the doctors hands.
People go in and out of jobs, maybe you will find one soon, just keep applying for new ones, and hopefully more than one will come through

Maybe if you do find some time, do things that you like to do, such as writing poems, it may be an effective way to vent your emotions

As for news, well... This may make you feel better, Super Mario Sunshine looks fantastic, just as you said it would be, just check out the trailors
. Sega plan to make a mega pack, where all the classic sonic games will be included, the 'supposed' list can be found in the GCN forum.
In time, the storm will pass, and one by one, your problems will dissolve. Just don't get depressed
