*SPOILERS (SORT OF)*
the game did get long with dr lindsey, the archeologist. i think i was insane the entire time! the affects were pretty cool. my limbs started falling off and stuff. my head fell off and started quoting hamlet too. then i thought i accidently reset the game once! um.....i went through a door and came out a zombie! i was one till i got killed as him, then back to normal. then he was always yelling and shooting at things not there but what irony that he was the only one to survive! i wish more would survive. the guy who said damn a lot and went kind of crazy was a cool chapter. saw his ghost running around the mansion earlier. the statue with the turning head is feaking me out! and whoever is calling the mansion needs to quit it!!! the paul luther one was disturbing:eek: one of his hallucinations was pretty weird. i'm on the big fat blue guy now. i was also wondering if there are any hidden characters. i read after you beat it twice you get a character select, so maybe some hidden ones appear there.
*SPOILERS OVER (SO IS THE POST )

No, no more please i'm prolly reading into this a bit too much but i'm guessin that red is the easier since green is harder and the meanings of the colors are reversed... *Noo, i'm to smart for my own good that is if i'm right... *

Umm... not really. The green path makes it harder to keep your green meter up. Red makes it harder to keep your red meter up. Blue makes it harder to keep your blue meter up.
Now think about it, what meter would red deal with?
And actually, I heard blue is hardest, for reasons you'll understand a little ways into the game.

I choose blue and it hasn't been too bad so far, although I just cleared chapter 4.

Well keep in mind, chapter 4 isn't too far into the game. I'm trying to make this thread spoiler free, otherwise I'd explain why blue is the hardest.

Well Gekko I got the red path and you are right. I've had to use the amulet and the recovery quite a few times just to keep it up to survive trough battles. So I just can't immagine how a guy low on blue can go up against a boss.

Well I guess I'll find out why when I get further into it. At least I can get the hardest one outta the way first.

Yeah, gekko, with the girl in the second chapter and all those blades, my sanity was long gone and I just wanted to run run run.. Then I realized the game (!) was messing with my head, and I knew I might die, so I took it slower.
Then in the Charlemagne chapter when I was about to fight the final boss is when that sanity effect that empties your inventory hit. Of course I think everyone knows that effect, yet while I was getting my ass kicked I just wasn't thinking and I thought maybe all my stuff had disappeared when I died (for some reason with that boss it let me die and come back to life, twice). Then the screen flashed and even then I didn't realize what the insanity effect was... I thought maybe the whole boss fight was an insanity effect. Finally figured it out... but, damn, this game is messing with my head. Those knocks on doors are really creepy, too.

Well first you chop off some body parts.. or blow them off in the ase of using a gun... then they fall on the ground and you have to press the B button and it finishes them.. and once you finish them.. you get your sanity back
So the answer to your question is no...

Sanity is very hard to regain since some enemies take more of your sanity meter than you get back after you finsih them. I can barely keep it in the 3/4 of the bottom up to 1/2. And I'm on the red path. Also I haven't found any spells that help you gain sanity back.
