Default New Screens of Super Mario Sunshine

Several new screen shots of Super Mario Sunshine:

I must say, the graphics look pretty good. Although notice all those jaggies.

why does it look soooooo much better on video?

I know games tend to look better on video, but this game on video is much better than the screen shorts.

GC takes horrible screenshots.

always has.

And often a screenshot is taken of a moving image. letting you see things you wouldnt normally see. like jaggies. its also hard to say what screens are taken recently and and wich were taken a while ago but just released.

And quite often as what im noticing with this game... is that nintendo seems to be turning off a lot of the graphic features off. like the high quality Textures. then when they show the video at E3. first thing i noticed was how the textures and lighting were so much better then what nintendo was showing before E3.

its like they turn stuff off while making the game then turn it back on when showing it off.

dunno.

Like Null said, it's the screen capturing methods for the Gc.

It does look a whole lot better in motion though.

Very impressive pictures... I really like how they show off how large the worlds are.

But, why does Mario's face look messed up when he is on Yoshi?

Shadow Link and Null are right. It's most likely because these screen shots were taken in motion, meaning the quality is not the best. Or what might of also happened is that Nintendo meant to or forgot to turn off the several graphical effects. But I believe there is a better chance of the first one.

Also, on the first screen shot doesn't that canape thing over the boat look misplaced to you?

Am I the only one who finds it odd that most of the direct feed screens look much better than any of the hi-res ones Nintendo releases?

MMMM.. bananas.

And Bond, that boat might be the boat that Mario and Princess took to get to the island... And I guess you might be able to travel around in it, I guess. Possibly you travel from island to island!

Thats your 4000'th post

Umm... yeah the screens do look better but none of the screens for this game are ever gonna look REALLY good cause it looks as if this game was originally schedualed for N64... so yeah...

If the game was originally scheduled for the Nintendo 64, which I'm not even sure if it was, that would have no impact on the GameCube product. Look at Starfox Adventures. That was originally scheduled for the Nintendo 64 years ago as Animal Planet. The graphics that it now has on the GameCube would not be possible on the Nintendo 64.

Well I think that it was originally schedualed for N64 cause of the textures me thinks.. look at the walls on the buildings and the grass in all the pics they all looks kinda N64 ish to me .... Actually I dont think i know what im talking about

Nintendo might not have felt like re-doing all the textures and charectar models for the game.. I dunno
Maybe cause Nintendo is prolly A lot bussier than Rare... but they also have a lot more people workin at Nintendo..

I dont eaven kknow what im saying.. I just think the game was originally started for the N64...

I always assumed they arrived on the airplane because you usually see Peach in front of it.

I do think the boats will be used to travel around the island faster or maybe to different islands as well.

I think you mean Dinosaur Planet, and I believe some concepts of SMS were carried over from the now dead SM 64 II for the n64. I don't know about the graphics but some things.

The first picture with Yoshi looks really weird. Mario looks like he's... doing something... to Yoshi. Like this

I think the shots look good. But most of the textures need improvements.
